On Monday 27/11/2023, after official invitation, Ralleio’s The MED Project, focusing on the interdisciplinary teaching of subjects with the Mediterranean Diet, inscribed element on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, was presented. As a member of the UNESCO Associated Schools Network (ASPnet), we had implemented the project within the framework of Erasmus+KA2 Program “ROOTS/ Routes to Outdoor Oriented Teaching & Sustainability” during school year 2017-18. The international webinar was organized by MEdIES /Mediterranean Education Initiative on Environment and Sustainability and UNESCO Chair and Network for Management and Education for Sustainable Development in the Mediterranean of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens.
The presentation entitled "The MED PROJECT, Holistic and Whole-School Approach to teaching with ICH element Mediterranean Diet" was delivered in English by Ms Katerina Christodoulou, designer and coordinator of The MED Project, Ralleio English teacher and Erasmus+ & UNESCO ASPnet academic and organizational coordinator, UNESCO ASPnet Focal Point at the European and International Programs Office of the Directorate of Secondary Education of Piraeus and UNESCO Individual Specialist on ICH & School Education.
