The online focus group discussion took place on 19/2/2021 with the participation of UNESCO trained European teachers in the subject of integrating Intangible Cultural Heritage in school based education. The insights of the focus group discussions will inform the development of a training of trainers on living heritage and education. This training course is a joint initiative between the Culture and Education Sectors of UNESCO and part of a larger new thematic program on living heritage and education in UNESCO and UNESCO‘s work on Global Citizenship Education. The objective of the training is to strengthen the capacities of an international group of resource persons, who can help UNESCO and its Member States in developing and conducting initiatives on integrating living heritage in education projects, programs and policies related to Target 4.7 of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 on inclusive and quality education.

The discussion was conducted by Dr Lynette Shultz, Professor and Director of the Centre for Global Citizenship Education and Research, University of Alberta, Canada. Our school was represented by Katerina Christodoulou, UNESCO ASPnet coordinating teacher at Ralleio.
