Pedagogical team: Kalliope Bechraki (Greek language teacher), Stavros Drosakis (Mathematician) and Katerina Christodoulou (English teacher)
The principal aim of the program is the application of classroom knowledge and skills by identifying, combining and using them in the field in the subjects of History, Literature, Sociology, Science and English in order for the students to develop their critical thinking skills in the framework of holistic education approach. The topic areas of the program included Cultural Heritage, Sustainable Monument Management, Ancient Greek Technology, Drama in Education and Mediterranean diet. The students worked in teams using specially designed educational material in the form of preparation material and worksheets designed by the pedagogical team.
In the framework of the program, the team visited the city and port of Piraeus, Sounio and Thoriko in Lavrio and a regenerative farm in Mesogaia.
During the program we collaborated with the Social-Cooperative Enterprise “Synpraxis” and with the Mediterranean Information Office for Environment, Culture and Education for Sustainable Development.
