Undoubtedly, El Greco is a unique artist. But who was he really? What was his life like, what was his artistic path and the transformation of his artistic style? What was the historical framework in which he created his masterpieces? How did ?Maestro Domingo? from Chandax, Crete paint ?a la greca? and ?a la latina? and in what ways did his travels to Venice to Rome and finally to Toledo influence his artistic production? How did he reach perfection in his mature period characterized by the elongation of the forms and the moving perspective? Finally, what were the influences of his work on 19th and 20th century artists and especially on Picasso?

These are some of the questions that our B class cultural group tackled under the coordination of Sophia Pavlidou, Greek Language Teacher.
