The history of this port is not only interesting but also attractive, ?flowing? through periods of rise and fall. Certain elements are apparent in this historical course, elements that attribute to it the dimensions of a charming course through time, a course which continues with changes in the ?scenery?, always at the same place for more than 4.000 years. Since its modernization in the previous century, Pireas has transformed into a lively megalopolis, the biggest and busiest port of Greece, a typical maritime, industrial and commercial centre.
This project is dedicated to the loving memory of the late K. Kyrlagitsis, Director of Ralleion Geniko Peiramatiko Lykeio Pirea (2004-2007).
