Each year the Euroscola program attracts visiting groups of secondary school students from throughout the EU member countries to the European Parliament in Strasbourg. The aim of Euroscola is to provide young Europeans with an insight into the work and role of the European Parliament.
Twenty four Greek students and two teachers participated in Euroscola Day 2016 in Strasburg on 27 january 2011. The students, from different schools of the prefecture of Attica, participated and excelled in an essay writing competition. The other two selection criteria were fluency in two foreign languages (English and French preferably) and their performance in the previous school year. Ms Ioanna Makarigaki (B class student) travelled to Strasburg to participate. Ms Magdalini Kokkaliari, mathematician at our school, was appointed leader of the Greek group.
