B’ class students visited the Museum of Athens Observatory on Tuesday 23rd January 2024 located in a neoclassical building designed by the famous architect Hanssen. Two astrophysicists guided the students around the museum focusing on a reproduction of the Antikethyra mechanism (considered the oldest computer globally), an old map of the Moon, a sizeable antique telescope and other astronomical instruments.
The students were accompanied by the following teachers: L. Ferentinos, A. Keskesiadou, N. Kollias, A. Kolokas, L. Mamali, N. Panagiotopoulos.
