The Panhellenic Association of Bioscientists and the RALLEIO LYKEIO
organized the 18th Biology Conference entitled: "Society meets modern Biology", on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 April 2024, under the auspices of the Directorate of Secondary Education of Piraeus. On the first day, the topics focused on the most common gene diseases in Greece (phenylketonuria, thalassaemias and cystic fibrosis), their diagnosis, the problems they cause and treatment methods. On the second day, the presentations focused on genetic testing and assisted reproduction and the bioethical issues arising from them. More specifically, the program was as follows:
