Ralleio Climate Change Team organized a recycling station at the entrance of the school building where we collect and recycle depleted batteries, old electric and electronic devices, used frying oil, electric bulbs, used printer ink cartridges and plastic bottle caps. The collected bottle caps are then given to Ralleio Solidarity Team in order to purchase wheel chairs for our disabled fellow citizens in need.

In order to maximize the quantity of the collected recyclables and, at the same time, involve the local community, Ralleio Climate Change Team issued and distributed to Ralleio students and teachers a pamphlet to be posted at the blocks of flats where they reside, so that neighbors can help too.

The collected recyclables are given to the appropriate institutions and companies once they have reached a certain quantity. On February 23 2017, we handed 15 kilos of depleted batteries to the battery disposal company AFIS.
