Ralleion Geniko Lykeio Thileon Pirea ,after the initiative and under the coordination of Mr Georgios Katopodis and Mr Panagiotis Markopoulos, Biologists, Biology Teachers in Ralleion, in cooperation with the Panhellenic Association of Bioscientists organised the 9th Annual Biology Conference ?Society meets Modern Biology? in Pireas on 12th and 13th February 2016. The conference was organised in collaboration with the Directorate for Secondary Education of Pireas and the Laboratory Centre of Natural Sciences of Pireas.
The subjects of the conference included a variety of modern Biology issues, such as:
- Biology and Ethics
- Research and development of new drugs and its application in daily life
- The silent power of plants
- Genetic biodiversity
The speakers were distinguished University Professors and Researchers whose work in the field of Biology has been highly acclaimed.
On Saturday many students had the opportunity to participate in the workshop ?Mystery at Ralleio?, a game of riddles and skills organized by Biologists, members of the Panhellenic Association of Bioscientists.
The conference was attended by many Secondary Education teachers and students from various schools in the prefecture of Pireas.
?Biology meets modern society? is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Education.
