To celebrate World Teachers' Day, the students and the teachers of Ralleio Lykeio attended a presentation on the role and professional status of Greek teachers in the past and in the present delivered on the school grounds on October 4th.

Ms Keskesiadou (Greek Language Teacher) presented the role of the public school teacher in Greece through the years and talked in particular about N. Delmouzos, the great liberal educational reformer of the early 20th century who expanded the role of the teacher as a mentor in the formation of the students? life skills.

Following that, Mr Kollias (Science Teacher) and Ms Christodoulou (EFL Teacher) presented comparative statistical data about working conditions, teaching hours and annual salaries of teachers in the Eurozone today. The data were collected from OECD and EURYDICE, Network on Education Systems and policies.
