Herakleidon Art Museum organizes educational programs in an effort to link Art to Mathematics.

Twenty seven A? class students took part in the program entitled ?From Art Aesthetics to Mathematics and Philosophy Logic? on 27th December 2012. During the two-hour visit, the students were guided through the museum and the permanent Escher exhibition. They also attended an interactive program about the symmetry and the geometrical transformations regarding the work of the painter Vassarely. Then, the students participated in an open discussion on the subject of Being and Appearance in Art and Mathematics and attended a workshop on the connection between Music and Mathematics. Finally, the students filled in a visit evaluation questionnaire.

The visit was organized by Mr Stavros Drosakis (Mathematics Teacher) who accompanied the students to the Museum with Ms Panoraia Kolentzou (Greek Language Teacher).
