Students of A and B classes attended a lecture by Dr Panagiota Pezopoulou, Philologist and Theatrologist, entitled ?The role of the Theatre in the delinquent society?. The students had the opportunity to ?experience? through the mind?s eye all the stages of the production of a theatrical play in the Avlona Correctional Facility for Minor Offenders. Dr Pezopoulou, who is the animator of the Drama group at the Correctional Facility, offered the students a vivid description of the happy moments and the problems faced by the group during the production while emphasizing on the supporting role of the theatre towards raising the awareness of the situations that incarcerated minors experience daily.

The lecture was held at the Library of Lakarides Foundation on 14 November 2012. The students were accompanied by Ms P. Kolenzou and Ms M. Panagiotopoulou (Greek Language Teachers) and Ms A. Kotsifa (EFL Teacher).
