Subject: ?The contribution of the European Parliament to the advance of Democracy in the European Union?

Ms A. Apostolidou, E. Vikeli, E. Kalodouka, M. Koutrouli, A. Kritikou, E. Naki and E. Nasiou, accompanied by Ms C. Kaneletopoulou (Philologist), traveled to Strasbourg in order to express their views to the European Parliament on international issues. The 7 Ralleion students had taken part in the 2005 Euroscola competition on the subject ? The contribution of the European Parliament to the advance of Democracy in the European Union? and were chosen to travel to Strasbourg and participate in the Euroscola project.

The 732 students participated in a game-competition in the Hall of the European Parliament. The students were divided in groups of four and had to answer 20 questions in one of the official EU languages. The students within the small groups were of different nationalities. Only 4 groups reached the final stage of the competition. These groups had to answer general knowledge questions. Ms E. Kalodouka was a member of the winner group and was awarded a cup for her participation.
