EUROSCOLA5Each year the Euroscola program attracts visiting groups of secondary school students from throughout the EU member countries to the European Parliament in Strasbourg. The aim of Euroscola is to provide young Europeans with an insight into the work and role of the European Parliament.

Twenty five Greek students, two teachers and an observer from the Prefecture of Attica participated in The Euroscola Day in Strasburg on 27 january 2011. The students, from different schools of the prefecture, participated in the written competition held at our school on 14 December 2010. The other two selection criteria were fluency in two foreign languages (English and French preferably) and their performance in the previous school year. Ms Foteini Repa (class B4) and Ms Aikaterina Galiantina (class C1) from Ralleio Geniko Peiramatiko Lykeio Thileon Pirea were members of the 25-student Greek group who travelled to Strasburg to participate. Ms Aikaterini Christidoulou, EFL Teacher at our school, was appointed leader of the Greek group.
