FOOD 4U is an awareness campaign on the importance of being conscious of food choices, designed for youngsters aged 14-19 from sixteen European Union countries. It is promoted by the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Policies and it involves the production of a 45-second video spot in order to draw the attention of young people to the importance of being aware of healthy food choices and dietary habits.

Ralleion Geniko Peiramatiko Lykeio Thileon Pirea participated in the 2008 edition of the competition with the video spot ?Take Action-Choose Your Food? which was awarded the Special Award of the Jury at the Food4U Videofestival 2008 held in Camerota and Rome from 27 September 2008 to 3 October 2008.

Ms Maria Moraitaki and Ms Aikaterini Christodoulou (EFL Teachers) undertook the conceptual, artistic and technical direction of the project. The ten A class students who took part in the project and travelled with the two teachers to Italy to attend the Videofestival and the Award Ceremony are: Antonia Veltsista, Asimina Gkouvousi, Stella Kanteraki, Sofia Sakkali, Betty Karatzi, Athina Mathioudaki, Lambrini Basnakidi, Eva Moustaka, Anastasia Stamataki, Rafaella-Margarita Fytrou.
