The 4th Meeting of the European program Erasmus + KA2 ?ROUTE? (Reinventing the Outdoors for Education) was held in Stockholm from 11th to 17th January 2016. The Director Dr Dimitris Kalaitzidis and Ms Katerina Christodoulou, EFL Teacher, travelled to Sweden with B class students Elianna Koutsoupi, Elena Keramida and Maria Diakona to attend the meeting. The students were hosted by their Swedish peers of the coordinating school, Hersby Gymnasium.

Teachers and students from the partner schools of Sweden, Estonia, Greece and Portugal participated in outdoor learning activities around the city such as curling, ice skating and outdoor learning in Skansen park, the largest ?outdoor classroom? in Europe. They also visited the Royal Institute of Technology where they had the opportunity to perform their own DNA analysis in the laboratory of Alba Nova, the Biotechnology Department of the Institute. They were also guided to the laboratories of the Department by researchers and enjoyed the chance to familiarize themselves with the equipment.

We would like to thank our Swedish partners, teachers, students and their families, for their warm hospitality and impeccable organization of the visit.
