The students and the teachers who are members of the Educational and Recreational Club ?OUT? organized a visit to Lake Vouliagmeni in southern Attica on Sunday 16 November 2014. Apart from the members of the Club and the Director of the school, Dr Dimitris Kalaitzidis, who is also the coordinator of the Club, students from other classes, teachers and parents participated in this short trip.

Lake Vouliagmeni is a natural hot spring used as a medical spa and visited by Athenians all year round. The group was guided in the facilities of the lake by the resident doctor, the life guard and the security guard. The participants enjoyed particularly the pool with garra-rufa, the small fish that exfoliate feet and hands naturally. They also had the opportunity to visit the small, less widely known lake, situated behind the main one.

Finally, the Director of the school, Dr Dimitris Kalaitzidis, provided geological information about the Lake and the students filled in a special worksheet. The group returned to Pireas in the early afternoon.
