In the framework of the European Erasmus+ KA1 Program "CULT: Sustaining and Empowering our School Culture" (2023-2025), the first mobility to attend a structured seminar took place from 31st March to 7th April 2024. EFL teacher Ms Katerina Christodoulou, academic and organizational coordinator of the project, attended the seminar "CLIL in practice: focus on the EU"/ in Florence. As part of the seminar, Ms Christodoulou had the opportunity to attend a specially designed workshop at the Historical Archives of the European Union, located in Villa Salviati, together with a group of teachers from Ireland and France.
As a member of European and international networks, our school, awarded the Sustainable School Label 3 times so far, has included in its culture and has been working systematically on inclusion, digital teaching, Education for Sustainability and Global Citizenship through the implementation of projects and by integrating the afore mentioned educational priorities in the daily teaching of many subjects since the 1990’s. In order to sustain the holistic school culture and the extrovert nature of the school and to transmit them both to the permanent members of staff and to the ones who serve with temporary placement in the school, it is necessary to train teachers in order to update their knowledge and act as peer mentors to promote in specific ways and through the appropriate tools the key priorities of the Erasmus+ program and the school culture of Ralleio Lykeio to the benefit of the final recipient, i.e. Ralleio students.
