It was a grammar lesson on Present Perfect Continuous that made us look for a fairy tale in which the specific tense is mostly used. Our teacher set the question but although we tried hard, none of us managed to answer the query. So we waited impatiently for the next lesson full of curiosity. The story was indeed well known: ?Goldilocks and the three bears?. We had the chance to use PPC by dramatizing the story instead of doing grammar exercises.

We were divided in two groups of four that would act it out, the rest of the class being the audience. We rearranged the class furniture, made masks and wore appropriate clothes for the next lesson. Although none of the groups had sufficient time for preparation, we did well! The audience really enjoyed the funny dialogues. Eventually we shared our feelings and impressions. We all agreed that this is a most fruitful way of learning through play and fun. One thing is for sure: although none of us is going to win the Oscar Prize, we are never going to forget PPC.
