The Pedagogical team of European program Eramus+KA2 ROOTS designed and implemented teaching material and supervised various student projects in Greek and English using the whole-school, the holistic and the interdisciplinary approaches with A and B class students in connection to the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals in the framework of ROOTS, ASPnet UNESCO and Sustainable School Label.

Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being

Class B2: 6-group project on “Gross National Happiness (GNH): Can happiness be measured?”,

Individual ROOTS student projects on illness prevention, vaccination and health care system access,

Goal 4: Quality Education.

Class B3: 6-group project on «ΜΙ, ΕQ, IQ, HQ: Multiple Intelligences and Quotients for a new educational paradigm”,

Individual ROOTS student projects on the usefulness of online games to teaching and learning,

Case Study: Virtual Museum “Alexander the Great”.

Goal 5: Gender Equality

“Sense and Sensibility”, film by Ang Lee in English followed by discussion on the social status and legal rights of women in the 19th century in contrast to today’s European societies.

Goal 7: Affordable and clean energy

Case study of the buildings and gardens of Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center with Greek and English Worksheet in situ,

Individual ROOTS student projects on Renewable Energy resources.

Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities

Individual ROOTS student projects on financial immigration, the history of Greek financial immigrants since World War II, war refugees and contemporary minority communities in Greece.

Goal 12: responsible Production and Consumption

Individual ROOTS student projects in English on Fast Fashion, Overconsumption and Fair Trade.
