EUSO is a competition aiming at promoting the teaching of Sciences through laboratory experiments and at motivating students to actively engage in solving real life problems which require experimental practice. The groups of students who succeed in the local competitions move on to the panhellenic competition and from then on two groups are selected who will represent Greece in the European Union Science Olympiad.
This is the second time that our school has participated in the Greek EUSO Competition. Our group consisted of Ms A. Gitakou (classB1), Ms M. Zoumbliou (class B2), Ms K. Boloutsou (class B3) and Ms L. Leptourgidi (class B3). The students were assisted in their preparation by Ms Eleni Vraka (Science Teacher). Their performance was considered highly satisfactory compared to the total of the competing groups in this particularly demanding test.
